You may know that your kitchen needs to be well lit for function sake (pot lights are an obvious and great choice for this), but what about style and adding a little wow factor. Enter pendants and ta da you have yourself a lit kitchen! I know it may seem like a ‘duh!’ moment to some, but you would be surprised with how often this is overlooked. The importance of the real jewel of a home. Lighting!
I was actually a little nervous about these gold pendants being too big, but the scale is perfect for this open concept space. They are able to be seen from all angles and are a nice shiny contrast to the matte black cabinets. They also add texture with their diamond leaf construction and gold chain, which you wouldn’t think of as important when choosing your light, but it can be very!
Balancing out the eat it in kitchen is also something to consider. They don’t need to match per say, but do need to coordinate with the overall look. The pendants over the island here were picked because of their colour as well as their industrial look. The kitchenette light was chosen for it’s architecture and rustic wood make.
These Schoolhouse lights were a no brainer for this space. This company is truly innovative with its simple yet beautiful designs and quality craftsmanship.
